The first waste sorting enterprise has been launched in Naryn, as reported by the press service of the local mayor's office.
This modern sorting equipment, located near the landfill, is capable of processing up to seven types of waste. The enterprise will recycle up to 4 tons of garbage per hour and will create 20 new jobs.
The project was implemented in collaboration with Eco Resource Technology LLC and NURP with an investment of 9 million soms. It aims to improve the city's sanitation system and introduce waste recycling practices as part of the Naryn Resilience Program.
The prospects for further expansion of the enterprise were discussed at the opening with the participation of the authorized representative of the president in the Naryn region, Nurbek Satarov, the mayor of Naryn, Zhaynak Nemat uulu, and the leadership of the Aga Khan Foundation, which provided financial support for the project.
According to the mayor's office, the new sorting center will be a key step towards improving the ecological situation and creating a sustainable waste management system in the region.
