According to the city hall, in recent weeks, there have been cases of burning household waste and using used motor oil, which leads to the emission of harmful substances and deterioration of air quality. This, in turn, negatively affects the health of the population and the environmental situation in the city.
The inspection conducts regular checks in bathhouses, saunas, enterprises, and private properties to identify instances of waste burning, including automotive oils, paints, rubber, plexiglass, and other toxic substances.
Since the beginning of 2025, 148 raids have been carried out, resulting in 231 cases of environmental norm violations. Fines totaling 2 million 383 thousand 500 soms have been imposed for these violations.
The municipal inspection reminds residents of the importance of adhering to environmental standards and recommends:
- not to use used oils and toxic substances for heating;
- to refrain from burning leaves, grass, and household waste;
- to switch to cleaner types of fuel, such as gas, whenever possible.
Administrative liability measures are provided for the burning of waste and other prohibited materials.
