The Capital Construction Department has fenced off the area, and demolition work on the building has begun.
Recall that on November 5, 2025, a fire occurred in the cinema, which caused significant damage. After that, the mayor of Bishkek visited the scene and instructed the services to develop a plan for further actions and expedite the implementation of a new project. At the time of the incident, the building was in a semi-ruined state: windows and doors were broken, the territory was unmaintained, and the cinema had remained empty for a long time.
