Today, February 17, Bektur Zulpiyev, representing the president and the cabinet of ministers in the Jogorku Kenesh, nominated Shabdanbekov. The deputies unanimously supported him without discussion.
Brief Biography Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov was born in 1970 in the village of Chayek, located in the Naryn region. In 1991, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn. After that, he began his career in the tax service of the Talas region, where he held the positions of inspector and senior inspector.
Since 1994, Shabdanbekov has served in the national security agencies, holding various key positions in the Anti-Terrorism Center, the Anti-Corruption Service, and the State Guard Service.
Since October 2020, he has headed the 9th Service of the GKNB and served as the deputy chairman of the committee.
On February 10 of this year, he was appointed acting head of the state committee by presidential decree.
