“Again, departmental conflicts, humiliations, and mask shows”
Cholpon Jakupova, a human rights activist, expressed her concern on social media regarding the ongoing detentions of security personnel.
“The country has been witnessing open 'special operations' to detain security officials for several days now. Some rejoice, saying, 'Now it's your turn,' while others watch with curiosity. Yet others simply tiredly state: 'Let them take each other down, it's their business'... Everyone has the right to their own opinion,” she noted.
For me, however, feelings of bitterness and anxiety prevail. Once again, we are observing departmental squabbles, public humiliations, and mask shows captured on camera. Can this endless cycle not be stopped?! The best way is to demonstrate legal awareness and self-respect, rather than imitating lawlessness.
Enough playing war: departmental, regional, national! There are more than enough problems already, and the fatigue from the constant anticipation of a 'grand upheaval' is building up.
I hope that law enforcement agencies and their employees understand the value of peace and stability better than many of us,” Jakupova concluded.
