In 2025, a pilot project was successfully launched on Akhunbaev Street, covering the section from Ch. Aitmatov Avenue to Abdrakhmanov Street. This year, its continuation is planned.
Currently, the possibility of creating dedicated lanes on Tokombaev Street (Southern Highway), Abdrakhmanov Street, and Jibek Jolu is being considered.The head of the department reported that the dedicated lanes will be part of a broader transport reform and will be implemented in conjunction with the optimization of the route network. The main task is to separate public transport from the general vehicle flow and minimize the impact of traffic jams.
He noted: "Currently, there is no difference whether you are in a private car or a bus; both are stuck in traffic. Therefore, it is necessary to create separate lanes for public transport."
