Residents of Osh expressed their opinions on the new personnel appointments in the city's leadership
Most respondents noted that they have not yet formed a definitive opinion about the new mayor, but expressed their readiness to monitor his work and evaluate it based on specific results. Many recall the former mayor with respect.
“The former mayor was in touch with the people, and that was important,” said one of the respondents.
Some residents emphasized that the predecessor of the new mayor managed to gain the trust of the population, and his work left a significant mark: “He became a part of people's lives. His achievements will be remembered for a long time.”
However, many believe that the new mayor needs time to adapt:
“He has just begun his term. Let's see how the situation develops. It is important whether he can continue the projects that have already started.”
In their conversations, citizens often mention issues of landscaping, the condition of residential areas, and the need for attention to key facilities. “If the new mayor fixes our neighborhood, that will be enough,” noted one local resident.
Some express concern that the change in leadership may slow down the implementation of previously initiated initiatives, but many hope for the further development of the city. “Osh has already begun to change for the better, and we would like the new leaders not to stop this process,” added one of the locals.
The survey showed that the residents of Osh are ready to evaluate the work of the new mayor based on specific steps and changes in the urban infrastructure. They expect stability, the continuation of already initiated projects, and open dialogue with the population.
It is important to note that on February 18, the president signed a decree appointing Janarbek Akaev as the new mayor of Osh. Previously, he held the position of a deputy in the Jogorku Kenesh. Information about the resignation of the previous mayor, Jenishbek Toktorbaev, appeared on February 18. For several days, rumors about his possible departure from office were actively discussed in public circles.
