Kyrgyzstan and North Macedonia Sign Memorandum on Cultural Cooperation

Recently, the Kyrgyz National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after Abdylas Maldybaev and the Estrada Multimedia Center from Prilep, North Macedonia, signed a memorandum of cooperation. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture.

As stated in the document, the agreement was signed by the theater's director Muratbek Begaliev and his colleague Marjan Katarovski, who heads the center.

According to the terms of the memorandum, the parties will develop opera, choral, and ballet arts, organize tours, concerts, festivals, and joint productions. The participation of directors, conductors, soloists, choir and orchestra artists in joint projects is also planned. The cooperation will also cover the field of professional education, including conducting master classes, internships, and educational programs, improving the qualifications of specialists, as well as exchanging scientific publications and research," the press release states.



This agreement aims to develop international creative ties, which will contribute to the promotion of Kyrgyz opera and ballet arts on the world stage, as well as strengthen cultural diplomacy. The duration of the document is five years with the possibility of automatic extension.
