Their acquaintance took place in 1986 in the city of Frunze.
Currently, the couple has been together for 36 years, and they have a son and a daughter, as well as three grandchildren.
Elmira was born on March 16, 1966, in the village of Barskoon, located in the Jeti-Oguz district of the Issyk-Kul region. Turgunbek was born in the same year in the village of Manas in the Talas region.
“We met in 1986 near the Central Department Store. I saw a tall, dark-haired attractive guy. There were willows growing in that place, under which the youth of Frunze often rested. He had just returned from the army. We immediately liked each other and soon fell in love. For five years we dated, studied, and worked in Frunze, becoming very close. At 25, we got married and have since created a happy family. In 1992, our daughter was born, and in 2004, our son. Our daughter is already married and has three children, while our son studies and works in the USA,” Elmira shared.
She also noted that together with her husband, they opened a dairy farm in the Sokuluk district and are currently engaged in improving the breed of dairy cows.
“I am happy that I married an understanding, wonderful person. Over these 36 years, we have experienced many different moments — there were difficult times, but we overcame everything together. Our true love and harmony have always been stronger than any trials. We continue to move forward and are only becoming happier,” she added.
Elmira addressed the youth with an important message: “Study, work hard, and strive for your true love. If young spouses sincerely love each other, they will always support each other in difficult times.”
The spouses worked in different fields but eventually decided to start their own business by buying a farm in the Sokuluk district. Currently, they are engaged in breeding purebred dairy cows and developing their farm.
The couple has many plans for the future. At the moment, their main desire is for their son to return from America, meet his love, and marry a good girl.
“We dream of organizing a big wedding to celebrate the acceptance of our daughter-in-law into our family,” Elmira added.
