The government of Kyrgyzstan has decided to amend the resolution dated March 3, 2025, under number 105, which regulates issues related to the identification of animals and animal products. These changes aim to comply with current legislation and clarify the process of visual identification of livestock.

According to the new provisions, when identifying cattle, horses, donkeys, and mules, it is now permitted to use not only microchipping but also an additional mark — a brand with the symbol "i". This brand will be applied using liquid nitrogen on the left side of the animal's body, in the thigh area or on the lower part of the cheek in front of the jaw.

The purpose of this designation is to simplify the visual identification of already registered animals and minimize the risk of their substitution during transportation or sale.

The new rules will come into effect ten days after their publication.
