Today, at the session of the Jogorku Kenesh, Mederbek Aliyev was elected as the First Deputy Speaker.
Aliyev's candidacy was presented by the parliamentary group "El Umutu - Ata Jurt" and received support from 74 votes.
It is worth noting that Aliyev's predecessor in this position, Chyngyz Azhybaev, had previously announced his intention to resign voluntarily.
