As part of this project, it is proposed to approve educational standards in the following areas:
- bachelor's and master's programs in public health;
- bachelor's and master's programs in nursing;
- bachelor's and master's programs in obstetrics;
- general medicine;
- pediatrics;
- medical prevention;
- dentistry;
- pharmacy.
The revision of educational standards has been prompted by changes in licensing requirements for universities that provide training in medical and pharmaceutical programs. In particular, the requirements for clinical bases for programs of secondary, higher, postgraduate, and additional professional education have been updated.
The creation of new educational standards has been made possible by the president's decree introducing a state monopoly on the training of specialists in the field of medicine.
