During his working visit to the People's Republic of China, Kazibek Moldazhiyev, the director of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports under the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, met with Zhang Xin, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
During the meeting, important issues related to international sports integration were discussed. Both sides emphasized the organization of the annual marathon "Run the Silk Road" in Bishkek and discussed the details of preparations for the meeting of the sports ministers of the SCO member states.
Additionally, during the negotiations, aspects of developing sports infrastructure in seven regions of Kyrgyzstan were considered. Moldazhiyev and Zhang Xin exchanged views on possible joint initiatives that could strengthen partnership ties and support local athletes.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to coordinate joint efforts. The negotiations took place in a constructive atmosphere, highlighting mutual interest in deepening cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China in the field of physical culture.
