In anticipation of March 8, International Women's Day, the mayor of the city of Gulcho, Nursultan Tajibaev, shared a touching story about his mother, Burulcha Abdykadyrova.

Burulcha apa is a woman who dedicated her life to raising four children, including three daughters and one son. This year, on April 7, she will celebrate her 65th birthday.

According to the mayor, his mother left her career to fully devote herself to her children. Nursultan did not enjoy kindergarten as a child and often ran away from there, so his mother decided to stay close to him until he started school. “When I was 4 years old, I wandered into the city and eventually ended up at my mother's workplace. It was winter, and when I, frozen, appeared at her doorstep, everyone was shocked. From that moment on, she didn’t let me out of her sight until the 4th or 5th grade,” he recalls.

According to Nursultan Tajibaev, his mother always told him, “Be a human” (“адам бол”). In his youth, he did not fully grasp the significance of these words, but as he grew older, he understood how wise they were. His mother did not punish him harshly but used wisdom: when the children made mistakes, she preferred silence, which had a greater impact than any punishment.

The mayor is confident that his achievements in life have been made possible by his mother's prayers and blessings. “I understand that without my parents' satisfaction, there will be no blessing from the Almighty, so I always try to receive her 'bata' and prayers. I often ask my children to pray for their grandmother. I believe that even when I am not around, she continues to pray for me during namaz. Perhaps it is her quiet prayers that help us achieve success in life,” Tajibaev noted.

Nursultan also emphasized his mother's incredible resilience. She bore all of life's hardships with dignity, hiding her tears from those around her. “It is hard to find a woman more patient than my mother. I learned patience from her. Even now, as an adult, I feel her care and love. She was never strict with me, but when she punished my sister, I cried along with her out of empathy,” the mayor shared.
