Challenging circumstances forced the singer to leave the stage for three years

Svetlana Nazarenko, known by her stage name Aya, the soloist of the popular group "Gorod 312," has revealed details for the first time about a difficult period in her life that caused her to leave the stage for three long years.

In the show "Privet, Andrey!" Aya shared that the reason for her disappearance was a severe stroke condition that followed a series of illnesses. Her story was so touching that even Andrey Malakhov couldn't hold back his tears.

The artist suffered four COVID-19 infections, which led to the formation of a blood clot and ultimately a massive stroke. She was urgently hospitalized in critical condition, and the doctors did everything possible to save her life. However, after that, she experienced paralysis on the left side of her body and required long-term rehabilitation. Even years later, Aya struggles with the movement of her left arm. During the show, she expressed gratitude to everyone who supported her during the hardest times.

"I had caregivers — those very nurses who took me from the ICU when I was in complete paralysis. <…> Thank you, my dear ones," she shared her emotions.

Aya returned to the stage as part of the group "Gorod 312" at the anniversary music award "Golden Gramophone," where she performed the song "Ostanus" in November 2025.

A video was published on the official Telegram channel of the group, stating that Aya had been absent from the collective for two years and seven months.

In the spring of 2023, the group "Gorod 312" suspended its performances. Later, Svetlana Nazarenko announced a temporary break in her career, and a new vocalist, Diana Makarova, joined the group.

As for Nazarenko's personal life, she does not share many details. It is known that she has a daughter, Ekaterina, who graduated from MGIMO.

In the show "Avatar," Aya mentioned her close relationship with comedian Timur Batrutdinov, without specifying whether it was romantic. In one of her performances, she even included his name in the lyrics of the song "You Left Me."

"I spoke the truth about our relationship, about how he left me. Recently, our communication has dwindled; we even stopped congratulating each other on holidays. Over the past three years, ordinary human connections have become rare. We didn't have a falling out; we were just each absorbed in our own affairs," she noted.

Now Aya continues her rehabilitation, daily engaging in stretching and treadmill training.

As she mentioned, she can now move independently, although she sometimes needs support.

The producer and members of the group "Gorod 312" remained by Aya's side during difficult times, regularly visiting her in the hospital and continuing to cover her medical expenses.
