Registration for the International School Olympiad of MGIMO, intended for foreign school students, is open until October 31.
This competition offers a unique opportunity to obtain a budget place in the preparatory faculty and bachelor's program at MGIMO.
The Olympiad is being held for the fourth time, and over the previous three seasons, more than 7,000 participants have taken part, among whom dozens have already become university students.
In the 2025/2026 academic year, citizens from the following countries can participate in the competition: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Mongolia, India, Iran, as well as all countries in Africa and Latin America.
Participants in the Olympiad will need to demonstrate their knowledge in the following areas:
Russian language (for CIS citizens) and English language;
Geography, world history, and international relations (with an interdisciplinary approach).
The competition will take place in two stages:
preliminary round (November 2025) - in the format of online testing;
final round (February-March 2026) - in a blended format depending on the country.
