Bolot Saginayev, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, expressed the opinion that the parliament should pay attention to how the media covers negative events in Kyrgyzstan.

Today, March 9, during the discussion of the draft law on television and radio broadcasting in the committee on education, science, culture, and youth affairs, Deputy Minister of Culture Marat Tagaev noted that the proposed changes are technical and necessary to comply with the previously adopted media law.

During the discussion, Deputy Saginayev emphasized that there has been an excessive amount of negative information in the country's information space lately.

He added: "There are currently too many negative messages on social media. I would suggest inviting television and radio companies to discuss this issue regarding how the media provides information at the next reading of the draft law."

Committee Chair Toktobubu Ashimbaeva instructed the staff to prepare the appropriate request.

It is worth noting that earlier Bolot Saginayev called for a ban on holding KOLFEST at Issyk-Kul, claiming that the organizers promote values that are alien to the Kyrgyz people at this event.
