Kokulov expressed bewilderment at the lack of measures to control such films. "Why were such things not noticed earlier? Don't you care about people's health? I raised this issue three years ago, and since then several new films with similar scenes have been released," the deputy stated.
"Honestly, Marat myrza, I don't know how to communicate with you. If necessary, I am ready to sue you. Let's sort this situation out, let the court decide," he added.Kokulov also pointed out that despite statements about the development of the film industry, the actual situation leaves much to be desired. "If you want to make money from the sale of cigarettes and alcohol, why then are you telling us about something else? I see in the cinema how the main character smokes a specific brand of cigarettes, and I wonder how this is permissible," he exclaimed, addressing the representatives of the ministry.
In response to Tolobekov's remark that he had recently taken office, Kokulov did not react with understanding. "What is happening in the country directly affects the health of future generations. My children and I see direct advertising in films. This contradicts the law, but due to your inaction, such films continue to be released," he continued.
"I am sure that there is a person in the ministry who is getting paid for this. How else could such films pass? I have already approached filmmakers asking them not to make such films. My children and I do not need films funded by tobacco companies," Kokulov concluded."If such scenes appear in future films again, don’t be offended," he added in conclusion.
