At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on December 25, Deputy Suyunbek Omurzakov proposed that students who do not attend classes should be expelled.

He emphasized the need to abandon the practice of imposing fines for absences. "Teachers cannot conduct individual lectures for those who are absent. It is not worth charging money for absences. If a student did not come to class — that is grounds for expulsion. Implement such a system," Omurzakov said, addressing Acting Minister Gulzat Isamatova.

During the parliamentary meeting, the issue of the president's consent for Isamatova's appointment as Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Innovation was also discussed.
