Gulya Kozhokulova, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, addressed the acting Minister Gulzat Isamatova with a proposal to restore the practice of mandatory work for students studying on a budget basis after they complete their education at universities.

She noted that there is a shortage of qualified personnel in the country and suggested requiring graduates who received education funded by the state to work for the government. “It is necessary to sign contracts with young specialists, as was done in Soviet times. Certain benefits should be provided for them,” added Kozhokulova.

Previously, the Ministry of Health introduced a bill that prohibits doctors from working in private medical institutions without five years of experience in the public healthcare system.

Currently, the candidacy of Gulzat Isamatova for the position of Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations is under consideration.
