According to the new requirements, graduates of medical universities will be obliged to work for up to three years under the supervision of a more experienced doctor in medical institutions participating in the program of state guarantees for free medical care, which mainly includes state organizations.
Residents studying on a budget basis will have to sign a targeted training agreement, under which they are required to work for at least three years in their specialty at the institution with which this agreement is made. If they refuse to sign, the resident has the option to continue their studies on a paid basis, provided there are available spots.
In the event of early termination of the targeted training agreement, the resident is obliged to repay the cost of their education. Students who have signed such agreements in medical universities will not be able to avoid paying double in similar situations.
