In connection with the onset of the autumn-winter period, the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund (MHIF) reminds the necessity of taking care of your health and informs about the available free and subsidized medical services in Kyrgyzstan.
The MHIF emphasizes that to prevent possible complications, self-medication should be avoided; it is better to seek help from doctors in the Primary Care Centers (PCC) or Family Medicine Centers (FMC) in a timely manner. Guaranteed medical assistance is provided under the State Guarantees Program (SGP), regardless of insurance status.
The list of free medical services includes:
- disease prevention;
- diagnostics, including consultations with doctors, interpretation of tests, emergency assistance, treatment prescriptions, as well as referrals for examinations or hospitalization;
• performing up to 12 types of basic laboratory and diagnostic tests when indicated; - administering medical injections (intravenous, intramuscular, subcutaneous) without providing medications and consumables (syringes, systems).
- up to 42 types of laboratory tests (when indicated);
- ultrasound and X-ray examinations with a 50% discount;
- day hospital services (intravenous drips) with a 50% discount (excluding medications);
- electronic prescriptions for subsidized medications under the Additional Health Insurance Program with discounts of up to 50% (when indicated), which can be purchased at pharmacy points cooperating with the MHIF.
The MHIF also reminds that if you have questions regarding medical services, you can contact the 24-hour hotline at 113.
