The deputy drew attention to high housing prices
At today's meeting in the Jogorku Kenesh, Gulya Kozhokulova raised the issue of the need for the development of mortgage housing in the regions. She noted that there is uncontrolled growth in housing construction in Bishkek, while the infrastructure is not keeping pace with this development. In particular, the parking problem has become extremely relevant due to the increasing number of cars.
“Perhaps we should consider the possibility of relocating activities from Bishkek to the regions?” – Kozhokulova asked the chairman of the State Mortgage Company, Talant Zhekshenov. She also added that the housing prices offered by the state mortgage do not differ from the market prices of other construction companies.
Zhekshenov responded that the State Mortgage Company has the lowest housing prices, which are almost half of the market prices. He gave an example: if other construction companies charge 2000 dollars per square meter, their price is only 1000 dollars. Currently, 80,000 apartments with a total area of 5 million square meters are being built in the country. To relieve the capital, more than 70 percent of new housing is being constructed in the regions,” he added.
