At the meeting of the committee on labor, health, women's affairs, and social issues, Deputy Zhyldyz Egenberdieva raised the issue of the shortage of thrombolytic agents and antiplasmin in neurosurgery and neurotrauma departments. According to her, these medications are purchased through the High Technology Fund but do not reach the neuro departments.

Egenberdieva pointed out that similar medications are provided to the cardiology center. She also mentioned that the neurosurgery and neurotrauma departments do not receive stents and clips, which are also intended for cardiology. In the deputy's opinion, these resources are necessary for treating the consequences of strokes, and she inquired whether purchases for the neuro departments are planned.

Acting Minister of Health Kanbek Dosmambetov responded that purchases of these medications were made in 2025, and an application had been submitted for them. "As far as I know, thrombolytic agents have indeed been purchased. However, there are certain questions regarding their application; we need to consider quality, pharmaceutical characteristics, and clinical effectiveness. Before submitting new applications, we must analyze this. The list includes several medications, including thrombolytic agents," he reported.

The deputy emphasized that thrombolysis is widely used worldwide for heart attacks, and Kyrgyzstan should not abandon this practice. Dosmambetov added that when applied in a timely manner, this medication can yield positive results.

According to Egenberdieva, it is the use of thrombolysis that has contributed to the reduction of mortality in heart attacks. "It is important to remember that thrombolysis is an accepted standard of treatment. Currently, a roadmap is being developed in the field of neurology that needs to be refined. Additionally, we are purchasing medications produced in Russia, and we should consider the possibility of procuring from Europe to enhance treatment effectiveness," she concluded.
