On December 16, the head of the Ministry of Health visited the children's oncology department of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health, where the issue of purchasing medications was discussed. Dosmambetov emphasized that disruptions, lack of transparency, and ineffective mechanisms in the procurement process are unacceptable, especially when it comes to life-saving medications for children. He noted that the current situation requires a systematic analysis and the adoption of appropriate management decisions.
The commission that will be established will focus on analyzing existing procedures, identifying problem areas, and developing recommendations to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability in the field of pharmaceutical provision.
The state enterprise "Kyrgyzpharmacy" began its activities in 2023, and its current director is Talan Sultanov.
The Department of Medicines and Medical Devices is headed by Kanat Bekboev.
