In light of the increasing incidence of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza, Acting Minister of Health Kanibek Dosmambetov conducted an unscheduled inspection at the City Children's Clinical Hospital for Emergency Medical Care (GDKB SMP) in Bishkek.

According to information from the Ministry of Health's press service, he examined the work of the clinical diagnostic department, familiarized himself with the situation regarding patient admissions and waiting times in queues.

Following the inspection, the acting minister noted that a large number of patients in one place increases the risk of infection and creates inconveniences for both parents and children, as well as for medical staff, who are under significant strain.

In response to the current situation, Kanibek Dosmambetov instructed the establishment of a round-the-clock Situational Center based at the Ministry of Health. This center will monitor the epidemiological situation, citizen appeals, and the workload of medical institutions in real time, allowing for prompt decision-making.

Additionally, he ordered the deployment of 200 additional beds at the National Center for Maternal and Child Health and the Republican Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital through the temporary repurposing of departments. The minister emphasized the importance of these measures to prevent the overload of GDKB SMP and to ensure timely assistance to all children in need of treatment.

To improve the functioning of the children's hospital's emergency department, the minister also proposed sending 10 pediatricians from the primary care sector in Bishkek for temporary work in the hospital, and plans are underway to deploy two mobile clinics on the territory of GDKB SMP.
These measures will help quickly admit children with mild forms of ARVI and reduce queues in the main building, creating safer and more comfortable conditions for all visitors.

It is worth noting that the country is experiencing a continued rise in the incidence of ARVI and influenza, with 42,500 cases registered in the past week.
