Kanybek Dosmambetov, the acting Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, visited the City Children's Clinical Emergency Hospital. During his inspection, he familiarized himself with the work of the clinical diagnostic department, as well as the state of patient reception and waiting times, which has become particularly relevant against the backdrop of increasing cases of ARVI and influenza. Noting the large number of patients waiting, the acting minister emphasized that mass gatherings increase the risk of additional infections and create discomfort for both parents and children, as well as for the medical staff working under high load conditions.

As part of his visit, Kanybek Dosmambetov held a meeting with representatives of relevant departments, chief freelance specialists of the Ministry of Health, as well as the heads of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health and the Republican Clinical Infectious Disease Hospital. The meeting discussed the current epidemiological conditions, the dynamics of morbidity, and measures for prompt response to the situation.

As a result of the meeting, the acting minister announced a number of instructions aimed at reducing the burden on hospitals, improving access to medical care, and creating comfortable conditions for patients and medical staff. Kanybek Dosmambetov proposed to organize a round-the-clock Situational Center at the Ministry of Health, which will monitor the epidemiological situation, the flow of citizens, and the occupancy of hospitals in real time, allowing for timely decision-making.
In addition, he suggested increasing the number of beds at the National Center for Maternal and Child Health and the Republican Clinical Infectious Disease Hospital by 200 through the temporary repurposing of departments. This is necessary to avoid overloading the City Children's Clinical Emergency Hospital and to ensure necessary assistance to all children in need of treatment.

To relieve the City Children's Clinical Emergency Hospital, he also recommended temporarily assigning 10 pediatricians from the primary care level in Bishkek to work in the hospital, which will help improve the organization of patient flows in the emergency department. Two mobile clinics are planned to be deployed on the territory of the City Children's Clinical Emergency Hospital, which will allow for the quick reception of children with mild forms of ARVI and reduce queues inside the main building, creating safer conditions for visitors.

“Our main task is to provide children with timely and quality medical care during the seasonal increase in morbidity. We must act proactively, taking measures to reduce the burden on doctors and create a safe environment for the population. The establishment of a situational center, the development of telemedicine, the deployment of additional beds, and the attraction of specialists — all these steps will stabilize the situation and increase the efficiency of our work,” noted Kanybek Dosmambetov.

According to the Ministry of Health, in the 49th week (from December 1 to 5), there were 42,561 cases of ARVI and influenza registered, which is 15.3% more than in the 48th week, when 37,066 cases were recorded. Of the total number of cases, 72.1% are children under 14 years old (15,029 cases).
