Kanataev noted that the application is designed to facilitate the search and verification of legally imported drugs costing over 100 soms. However, it should be taken into account that it does not cover medications purchased by the state enterprise "Kyrgyzpharmacia" for medical institutions.
The functionality of the application includes:
Medication search. Users can find out in real time which nearby pharmacy has the required medication.
Authenticity check. The application allows users to verify the quality of the medication by providing access to the certificate of conformity.
Price control. There is an option to determine whether the medication is included in the list of essential drugs and to review the approved state price.
Subsidy programs. Users can learn about the availability of compensation or other forms of state support when purchasing medications.
Filing complaints. In case a medication is sold at an inflated price, users can immediately send a complaint with an attached receipt, which will automatically be forwarded to the relevant authority.
Reports of side effects. The application allows for quick notification of specialists about adverse reactions to medications for prompt response.
The application also includes a glossary of terms used in medicine and pharmacy, as well as a voice assistant for visually impaired individuals. Plans include adding a reminder function for medication intake times and expanding the network of pharmacies collaborating with the application.
Kanataev emphasized that the application indicates the recommended retail price, which should not be exceeded when selling pharmaceutical products.
“There is a problem related to the human factor. You may go to the pharmacy shown by the application, but the required medication may not be available there. This indicates improper functioning of the pharmacy, which does not update data on sold medications,” he added.
