The FOMS informs that as of today, the list of subsidized medications includes over 600 items, which are available at partner pharmacies with an electronic prescription. However, as statistics show, the level of utilization of this benefit remains low, especially in the Chuy and Talas regions.
To obtain medications at a reduced price, it is sufficient to visit a family doctor. The FOMS emphasizes that the process of obtaining subsidized medications is as convenient and accessible as possible for citizens.
To take advantage of the benefit, one must be insured under the compulsory health insurance (CHI), have a registration with a family doctor, receive an electronic prescription when there are indications, and purchase medications within a month at any pharmacy that collaborates with FOMS, with a discount of up to 50%.
The additional CHI package helps reduce treatment costs for families, ensures continuity of therapy, and prevents the development of complications. Subsidized prescriptions can be used to purchase medications for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, bronchial asthma, mental disorders, as well as antibacterial, hormonal, and iron-containing drugs.

The FOMS urges citizens with insurance to actively use their right to subsidized medication provision and to consult their family doctors.
According to the fund, in the first nine months of 2025, doctors from Family Medicine Centers issued 1,334.8 thousand subsidized electronic prescriptions, of which 1,150.9 thousand (86%) were issued under the Additional CHI package. The total amount of compensations paid to pharmacies amounted to 302.2 million soms (85%).
