Dinara Alayeva, representing the funds "Helping is Easy" and "First Children's Hospice," appealed to the chairman of the State National Security Committee (GKNB) Kamchybek Tashiev for assistance. She published an open letter to him.
According to her, there is currently a serious shortage of critically important medications in children's oncology departments. According to data from the State Enterprise "Kyrgyzpharmacy," the supply of medicines is carried out only to hospitals upon request, and the purchasing limit is set until September 25. At present, many necessary drugs for the treatment of children with cancer are absent in pharmacies. Private pharmaceutical companies report that the import of life-saving chemotherapy drugs is restricted or blocked by decisions of the GKNB.

This has led to a critical shortage of medications in children's oncology departments. The "Helping is Easy" fund is unable to purchase medicines worth 1.5 million soms, and private pharmaceutical companies refuse to fulfill orders due to the existing restrictions, Alayeva noted.

She urged Kamchybek Tashiev to take personal control of the situation affecting nearly 600 families with children suffering from cancer and to investigate whether there are indeed bans or restrictions on the import of necessary chemotherapy drugs.

The situation requires immediate intervention, as delays in supplies could threaten the lives of patients, emphasized Dinara Alayeva.
