This application is designed for convenient searching and verification of medical drugs and is built on the drug traceability system.
"The advantage of the application is that users can now search for medications directly on their phones without making calls or sending messages in messengers, as was done before. It is enough to enter the name of the drug, and the application will show the nearest pharmacies where it can be purchased. However, it is worth noting that our application only features those medications that are officially registered and cost more than one hundred soms," Kanataev noted.
He also clarified that the application does not include drugs purchased by GP "Kyrgyzpharmacia" for hospitals. Currently, the following functions are already available in the application:
- Real-time medication search: find out where the nearest pharmacy with the required medication is located.
- Authenticity check: verify the certificate of conformity to ensure the quality of the drug.
- Price monitoring: determine if the drug is on the list of essential medicines and check its government price to avoid overpayments.
- Subsidy programs: learn about possible reimbursements for medications.
- Complaint support: if the price at the pharmacy is higher than the established price for regulated drugs, submit a complaint with the attached receipt — the statement is automatically generated and sent to the relevant authority. You will receive information about the measures taken. You can also report side effects of medications for quick response.
Additionally, Kanataev reported that a Kyrgyz-Russian dictionary of medical terms and a voice assistant for visually impaired users have been added to the "Dary-Darmek" application.
He also promised that as soon as the drug traceability system is fully operational, the department will be able to track all medications in the country, even down to the level of each package. "This will give us new opportunities in the fight against smuggling. We will be able to see which drugs are in short supply and influence their supply by commercial companies," he added.
Furthermore, as Kanataev noted, there are plans to add a reminder function for taking medications to the application. "We aim to expand the network of pharmacies so that they are all connected to the traceability system. Our goal is to improve the interface for users," he concluded.
