These control measures were initiated with the aim of improving oversight of the quality of medical services and compliance with legal norms in the field of licensing activities. The inspections were conducted in accordance with the laws "On the Licensing and Permitting System" and "On the Protection of Citizens' Health".
During the inspections, more than 541 private medical organizations were covered. According to the Ministry of Health, 246 of them, which constitutes 45.5%, operated without valid licenses. Among the licensed institutions, violations of licensing requirements were identified in 110 out of 295 organizations.
The identified violations include: providing medical services in areas not specified in the license; lack of necessary certificates and specialized education among employees; hiring unqualified personnel; non-compliance with sanitary standards and infection control rules; insufficient sterilization of medical instruments; as well as improper storage of medications and medical devices, including those requiring special control.
In response to the identified violations, administrative measures were taken, with a total amount of fines exceeding 20 million 740 thousand soms. The activities of 263 clinics were suspended. Materials on 246 cases of illegal medical practice were sent to law enforcement agencies for further investigation.
The Ministry of Health also emphasized that seeking services from unlicensed medical institutions can pose a serious danger to the health and lives of citizens. Services provided by individuals without the appropriate qualifications and permits can lead to serious complications, infections, and improper execution of procedures, which can harm patients.
