Clearing company in Bishkek fined for dangerous work without protective equipment

A video has surfaced on social media showing women, presumably working at the National Bank, cleaning the roof of an administrative building located at 89 Kalyk Akiev Street without using personal protective equipment.

This violation of labor protection norms has caused a significant public outcry.

According to information from the Labor Legislation Compliance Regulation and Supervision Service, relevant checks have been initiated regarding this incident.

During the inspection, it was revealed that the work on the roof was not carried out by the National Bank's structure, but by a subcontracting organization — the clearing company "K. Zh. ZHI," which was engaged in preparatory work before the facility was put into operation.

Based on Article 7 of the KR Law "On the Procedure for Conducting Inspections of Business Entities," an unscheduled inspection was initiated concerning the clearing company. Inspectors confirmed violations of labor protection and safety requirements.

As a result of the inspection, the head of the company "K. Zh. ZHI" was held administratively liable under part 4 of Article 87 of the KR Code on Violations and was fined.

The service reminds employers: failure to comply with labor legislation norms and the absence of necessary measures for labor protection may lead to liability in accordance with the legislation of Kyrgyzstan.
