Employees of the State Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance (CGSEN) of Bishkek were fined for violating the law "On the Procedure for Conducting Inspections of Business Entities" during regular business inspections. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.

As clarified by the agency, the inspectors unlawfully imposed fines on entrepreneurs instead of first issuing a written warning and conducting a follow-up inspection.

“As a result, cases were initiated against nine employees of the center under Article 436 'Illegal Conduct of Inspections of Business Entities by Officials or Obstruction of Their Legal Activities' of the Code of Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic. The court imposed a fine of 15,000 soms on each of them. In addition, based on the presentation for disciplinary action, four department heads were held accountable,” the official statement said.
