The total amount of securities sold was 700 million dollars
During a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputy Dastan Bekeshev raised the question that Kyrgyzstan issued securities worth 700 million dollars this year and inquired where these funds were directed.
In response, Finance Minister Almaz Baketaev stated that the issuance of eurobonds was part of an image project, and the attracted funds were invested in the financial sector.
“These funds were used for the capitalization of ‘ElDik Bank’. Currently, the authorized capital of this bank is approximately one billion dollars. We are short 200 million dollars, however, we plan to conduct additional capitalization. This will allow the bank to finance projects worth 1.5 billion dollars,” Almaz Baketaev explained in detail.
