At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh held on January 14, deputy Zhanibek Abirov raised an important issue regarding the insufficient number of ambulances for the emergency medical service in Bishkek.

According to data related to the administrative-territorial reform, the population of the capital has exceeded 1.3 million people. The large area of the city negatively affects the response speed of the service.

As the deputy noted, currently, there are about 35-40 ambulances operating in Bishkek, which is clearly inadequate given the increasing number of requests from citizens.

In this regard, Abirov appealed to the leadership of the Ministry of Health to consider the possibility of increasing the ambulance fleet. He added that although digitalization in the service has already been implemented, the main problem remains the lack of vehicles.
