The head of the cabinet promised compensation for the lands of the population around Bishkek

However, it is still unclear whether these lands will be needed by the government

At a meeting of the committees of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Zhanibek Abirov noted that as a result of the administrative-territorial reform, the villages of Orok, Sarban, Kashka-Bash, Jal, and others were annexed to Bishkek. The citizens of these settlements have land plots, the fate of which has not yet been determined. Approximately 1,500 people own agricultural lands and express concerns that their lands may be taken away.

The deputy asked the head of the cabinet whether these lands would remain with the citizens, whether they would be able to sell them, or if the state would expropriate them. In case of expropriation, he also inquired whether the residents of these villages would receive compensation.

Adylbek Kasymaliev responded that until the General Plan of Bishkek is approved, he cannot say for certain what will happen to these lands. At the same time, he assured that if the lands are expropriated in favor of the state, their owners will receive appropriate compensation.
