He noted that in 2022, a pedestrian crossing point was opened here; however, at present, the Uzbek side has fully modernized its checkpoint, allowing even vehicles to pass through. At the same time, the Kyrgyz checkpoint still remains for pedestrians only.
Sulaymanov proposed creating the necessary conditions for the passage of low-mobility vehicles through "Kara-Bagysh."
In response, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan cannot make a decision on this issue independently, as it is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union.
"In order to allow vehicle traffic through the checkpoint, compliance with the norms and rules of the EAEU is necessary," explained Kasymaliev.
This meeting took place in the context of discussing draft laws on the republican budget.
