According to the Ministry of Health, 13 of the injured have been diagnosed with carbon monoxide poisoning, while one person suffered first-degree burns.
Health Minister Kanaybek Dosmambetov visited the victims in the hospital.
The condition of four patients is assessed as moderate, two are in serious condition, and eight are in satisfactory condition.
“The severity of the patients' conditions is explained by the presence of underlying health issues, as well as carbon monoxide poisoning and combustion products,” the statement from the ministry notes.
