At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on January 14, Deputy Gulya Kozhokulova (District No. 22) raised the issue of the necessity to create a dormitory or boarding house for the relatives of patients at the Oncology Center in Bishkek. Residents of nearby houses expressed their concerns and asked the authorities to take action.

According to Kozhokulova, many caregivers of cancer patients come from remote regions to participate in surgeries. Due to a lack of available hotel rooms, they are forced to sleep on the streets or with local residents. "In the summer, sometimes caregivers stay overnight in yards," the deputy noted.

She emphasized that the situation requires attention, and the new Minister of Health must address this issue concerning the Oncology Center.
