At the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Science, Education, and Cultural Issues, held on January 19, Deputy Gulsharkan Kultaeva raised an important question about the fate of citizens' pension contributions if their PIN was issued with errors.

She noted that if an error in the PIN was discovered and the number was changed, could this affect the "life history" of the citizen. "What will happen to the social contributions if the old PIN is blocked?" she asked.

A representative of the State Institution "Kyzmat" responded that information about the old PIN would be retained despite its blocking.

The deputy clarified: "If a citizen regularly made contributions to the pension fund using their PIN, and this number was changed, will their pension savings be lost?"

The Deputy Director of the State Institution "Kyzmat," Ernes Dosaliev, agreed that this is indeed an important issue that requires attention.

He said: "This is a critically important question, and people need to be informed. The PIN is merely a tool for identification, while the identity remains unchanged. Our AIS system stores data, including names and PINs, even those that were issued with errors. For example, currently, about 150,000 erroneous PINs are registered in the Social Fund, and this is not the fault of the citizens. Therefore, all social contributions are retained for the individual," he explained.
