Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Marat Tagaev emphasized the need to increase the share of domestic content on air during a recent meeting with representatives of television channels. He noted that television channels should pay more attention to films and series produced by the film studios "Kyrgyzfilm" and "Kyrgyzserial" to support the development of the state language.
This decision has become relevant in the context of decreasing volumes of local production on television, as well as due to non-compliance with legislative requirements regarding the share of broadcasts in the state language.
According to Tagaev, in the near future, the airwaves of television channels may be filled with films created by both state studios and private production companies.
In "Kyrgyzfilm," both classic and modern films are represented, including documentary and feature works.
The new studio "Kyrgyzserial" has released 1-2 seasons of the popular series "Choochun Kishi," as well as projects such as "Zhalbyz," "Bizdin Klass," "Talant jana Tagdyr," "Muras," "Taigan," "Flowers on Ice," "Chypalak Bala," and others. Their portfolio also includes animated films, such as "Amantai menen Aituyak" and "Bytykchalar."
"We are ready to provide you access to all these materials and will monitor their broadcasting," added Marat Tagaev.
Tagaev also suggested that television channels initiate negotiations with the Department of Cinematography and participate in competitions for film production organized by this agency.
