A screening of the first military-historical series created in Kyrgyzstan took place in Bishkek. This was reported by the state institution GУ “Kyrgyzfilm” to the editorial office of 24.kg.

Today, the premiere of the eight-episode project titled “The Fire of the Fallen Sickle,” previously known as “The Anti-Aircraft Gunner Tamara,” took place at the “Manas” cinema. Each episode lasts 50 minutes.

The series was created with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy, as well as the Ministry of Defense and the Department of Cinematography. The production was handled by the studio “Olokon-Media.” This project is timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Army's victory in the Great Patriotic War.

As noted by the director of “Kyrgyzfilm,” Ermek Amantur uulu, the filming took place in two languages, but the primary focus was on Kyrgyz. The series is planned to be shown on local television channels and online platforms.

“It was difficult for us to find equipment from the war period, so in some scenes, graphics and special effects were used. Costumes and props were partially provided by the film studio, but we ordered some additional items to better convey the atmosphere of those years,” shared Ermek Amantur uulu.
The plot of the project is dedicated to the courage and patriotism of Kyrgyz and Soviet soldiers, as well as the role of women in achieving victory in the Great Patriotic War.
According to historical data, about 1,395 women from Kyrgyzstan voluntarily went to the front. The series, exploring the fates of its heroines, touches on themes of peace, homeland, and human solidarity, addressing the younger generation.

The plot is based on real events and images, artistically interpreted by the creators. The main heroines are girls from various regions of Kyrgyzstan who took up arms to defend their homeland. Among them stand out: Hero of the Soviet Union, pilot Yevdokiya Paskо (Karakol), surgeon Rafa Aydarbekova (Chui region), anti-aircraft gunner Tamara Baltabaeva (Chui region), radio operator Nagima (Osh), scout Mayra (Issyk-Kul region), sniper Jiyde (Naryn), paramedic Gulbara Yegemberdieva, and others. The series also portrays the fates of artists from the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic — Kynar Eraliyeva, Asipa Ismailova, and Kalipa Aliyeva, who performed at the front.

In addition to female characters, the series features male characters — a Panfilovets, future Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic and national poet Sooronbay Jusuyev, pilot Abdykerim Karmysakov, and other war participants.

The main producer of the project was Zhenishgul Ozbekova, and the director was Murat Mambetov. The project’s cinematographers were Talant Urgaziev and Sanjar Abdyzhaparov, and the editing was done by Tulgabek Koichumanov. The script was written by Gulmayram Saalaeva, Zhypar Isabaeva, and Gulzar Jumagulova.
