The head of state emphasized that in the future, benefits will be paid to all children.
At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, President Sadyr Japarov stated that during the Soviet era, benefits for children under 16 were provided to everyone regardless of family income.
He noted that after gaining independence, the situation changed, and now assistance is only given to those who fall into the low-income category.
"If the budget allowed, we would pay benefits to all children under 16. However, at this moment, it is impossible. Therefore, I signed a decree to provide benefits for children up to 3 years old, regardless of family income," the president stated.
He added that in the future, the state will move towards providing benefits for children up to 16 years old.
