In Bishkek, the possibility of restoring the fountain complex located near the "Aichurek" Central Department Store is being discussed after the demolition of a controversial building. This information became known at a recent city council meeting.

Vice Mayor Azamat Kadyrov reported that negotiations are underway to return the fountains to their place after the object that caused numerous disputes was dismantled.

Deputy Almaz Askar uulu raised the question of the fate of the building, which he believes was constructed in violation of the approved project.

Kadyrov noted that most of the structure has already been demolished, with only the first floor remaining: "The third and second floors have already been dismantled," he added.

Earlier, the Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, insisted on the demolition of the controversial structures and the restoration of the fountains and green areas, as the constructed object did not meet architectural standards and the approved project.

According to the city hall, after the dismantling works are completed, the area will be improved, and the fountain complex will be restored.
