Last year, 84 civil servants were held accountable for disciplinary violations, as reported by Deputy Attorney General Zalkarbek Akhnazarov at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, where the draft law "On Conflict of Interest" was discussed in its second reading.

According to Akhnazarov, the General Prosecutor's Office conducted more than 70 inspections regarding compliance with legislation on conflict of interest, during which 172 violations were identified.

"Out of the total number, one official was fined for failing to comply with the requirements of regulatory legal acts, and 84 civil servants faced disciplinary sanctions. Mainly, those held accountable were employees of government agencies and local authorities, as well as those who did not submit a declaration of personal interests or used municipal and state property for personal purposes," added Zalkarbek Akhnazarov.
