In 2025, the courts of Kyrgyzstan reviewed 1196 cases related to domestic violence.

According to information provided by the Supreme Court, various legislative measures are in place in the country aimed at combating domestic violence and ensuring gender equality.

In 2025, 1196 cases related to this type of violence were registered, which is 24 percent higher than the figures for 2024.

The court noted that the increase in the number of cases may indicate both the ongoing relevance of the problem and the rise in the detection of offenses and trust in the judicial system.

Moreover, an important document in this area is the National Strategy for Achieving Gender Equality by 2030, which includes improving legislation, strengthening protection mechanisms, and increasing women's participation in political and public life.
