Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Korea Discussed the Construction of the National Hospital Building

Recently, a meeting took place between the Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, Damir Osmonov, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the country, Kim Kwan-jae. The press service of the Ministry of Health reported on the key topics discussed during the meeting.

In particular, emphasis was placed on the implementation of infrastructure initiatives in the medical field, which are supported by the Economic Development Fund. Among the projects currently underway, special attention was given to the construction of the Republican Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital and preparations for the modernization of the new building of the National Hospital as part of the "Medical Town" concept.

The Minister emphasized the importance of joint efforts in training medical personnel. Kyrgyz specialists are participating in training programs implemented with the support of the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare, including the international Lee Jong-wook Fellowship Program.

The Kyrgyz side expressed gratitude for the regular medical missions and humanitarian aid provided by the Republic of Korea to support the population and develop healthcare in the country.

As a result of the meeting, both sides expressed their intention to continue deepening cooperation, including the development of medical infrastructure, training of specialists, and sharing experiences in the healthcare sector.
