The First Deputy Minister of Health Tilek Mamadaliev reported on the ongoing construction of medical facilities in Kyrgyzstan at a joint meeting of the parliamentary groups "Isheniim" and "Ala-Too".
He noted that in Bishkek, the construction of a new building based on the infectious clinical hospital will begin, which is planned to be completed by the end of this year. The project will be implemented with the support of the Republic of Korea under an agreement signed in 2023 and will be financed through a concessional loan of 27 million dollars. These funds will be used for both construction and training of medical personnel.
In addition, projects for the construction of medical institutions worth 14.5 million euros are continuing in the Talas and Osh regions, which are expected to open in the first quarter of next year.
According to Mamadaliev, in 2025, 10 new facilities will be put into operation as part of state and donor programs, including family and perinatal centers, infectious disease and maternity wards, as well as an anti-tuberculosis hospital in Kara-Balta.
He also added that the construction of a 300-bed building at the clinical hospital in the Osh region and a family medical center in Kara-Suu is nearing completion.
