On March 6, in Bishkek, the Minister of Emergency Situations, Urmatbek Shamyrkanov, held a meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Korea, Kim Kwan-jae, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
During the conversation, Urmatbek Shamyrkanov emphasized the importance of bilateral relations and expressed gratitude to the Korean government for its ongoing support of the ministry.
The parties discussed a number of important topics, including the development of cooperation in disaster risk reduction and the enhancement of the early warning system.
In addition, emphasis was placed on the protection of the population and territories, as well as on improving the qualifications of rescuers and their response to emergencies.
The participants of the meeting also considered the prospects for joint projects and initiatives aimed at preventing and eliminating emergencies.
Ambassador Kim Kwan-jae confirmed the intention to continue constructive cooperation. As a result of the meeting, steps were outlined for further development of mutually beneficial partnership.
